| What do the Queen of England, Sophia
Loren and Sylvester Stallone have in common? They all
enjoyed the unique atmosphere of Sveti Stefan. To be more
precise: the exclusive hotel on the small island, which
is only connected with the main land by a small causeway.
Sveti Stefan is the crown jewel on the Budvanska Riviera.
Originally a fishing village, it was turned into one
of the most extraordinary hotels in the 1960’s.
The architects managed to keep the original character.
New buildings like the restaurant were smoothly integrated
into the ensemble.
In Milocer, one bay west of Sveti Stefan, stands the
former summer house of the royal family Karadordevic.
The palace is now a hotel.
Another couple of bays over in the direction Budva
– still within walking distance – lies Przno.
The fishing village has kept most of its original charm.
