Whoever takes the ferry to Bar will
not believe, that he actually arrives in a really old
town. Indeed, the quarters around the harbor don't offer
to much. About six kilometers inland lays Stari Bar, the
old town. And this place was mentioned in the 9th century
for the first time. Bar is one of the most important economical
centers in Montenegro. The sea harbor connects mainly
with Italy and Greece. The railway which starts here connects
via Belgrade South East Europe and the rest of the world.
